I mainly use a high quality viscose jersey and some bamboo jersey with 10% spandex which are natural materials made from cellulose (wood pulp).

These knitted fabrics are very supple, soft and silky, and they drape beautifully. Elastane gives them great elasticity and good bounce for long-lasting quality.

Both are Oeko-Tex® certified. This is an European label that guarantees a textile product free from all harmful substances and ensures an environmentally friendly production.The certificate can be found at the bottom of this page.

I buy the plain fabrics and the pattern is screen printed in an artisanal way with big screens on huge tables.

The pattern is constructed in such a way that the junctions disappear and it appears continuously on the fabric.

I collect old curtains, tablecloths and doilies that I use to make dreamcatchers and stencils.

I started to work on a traditional lace pattern, then I modified the pattern intuitively and little by little it turned into this beautiful cosmic mandala !

::: DROP :::

It's an evocation of rain, drops of water dancing and sliding in slow motion on a window...

A dedication also to the Art Nouveau of the beginning of the 20th century with its sumptuous repetitive motifs evoking nature and its sacred geometry.

"Kalam" means "pen" in Hindi.
